Making the Headlines

The U.S.A Field Women's Movement under the leadership of Deaconess Victoria Otoo Annan has donated a Toyota Highlander for the official use of the National Women's Movement. The Vehicle has been cleared from the port and registered by the National Headquarters for the official use of the Women's Ministry in the Church.

Thirty widows benefited from the Esther Korkor Narh Memorial Fund when they were presented with various items at the Akim Oda Central Assembly of The Apostolic Church-Ghana.
Funds for the items were raised from the sale of a book written by Dr. Grace Ababio, an Aunt of the deceased. The 10-year-old Esther Korkor Narh died on October 3, 2008, after a short illness.

The Apostolic Bible College (ABC) Kumasi, has held its 10th Graduation on the theme, “Transforming Society through Theological Education”.
It involved the graduation of 45 graduates which comprised both regular and top – up students. They graduated with a Diploma in Theology with Minor in Business Studies.

The Area Women's Movement in the La Area of The Apostolic Church-Ghana, as part of their social responsibilities, has made a donation to the Osu Children's Home in Labone, Accra.
The items donated included assorted food items including bread, cooking oil, rice and vegetables, fruits, toiletries and used cloths all valued at about GH¢2,000. A cash donation of GH¢500 was also made for the upkeep of the Home.

The Pastors' Wives Association of the Apostolic Church – Ghana has celebrated its 5th anniversary in Accra. The anniversary which was initially characterized with various activities was climaxed during this year's Pastors' Wives Conference. The celebration was held on the theme, “Women in Ministry”.It was purposed towards addressing various issues concerning women, especially they, as Pastors' wives in Ministry and as the Pastors' wives in the Church today.

A section of the members of the Pastors' Wives Association of the Apostolic Church- Ghana, paid a visit to the inmates of the Akuse Prison on 13th November, 2013. This formed part of its 5th Anniversary celebration. They donated assorted food items including bread, cooking oil, rice, gari, beans, corn, and toiletries such as T-rolls, soaps, tooth brushes, sanitary towels, as well as slippers and mosquito coils, estimated at GH¢2,500.00.

The Tema Area Apostolic Church Co-operative Credit Union (TAACCCU), has held its 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Tema Community 1 Assembly of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, to declare impressive results despite the challenges of the national economy, and also to share ideas towards improving the financial activities of the Union.

The National Men's leader, Elder Joseph Hamah, has made a donation to the Sock Assembly of the Tongo District in the Bolgatanga Area of the Apostolic Church-Ghana.
The donation included 100 plastic chairs, 4 bales of used clothes and a set of local drums all valued at GH¢3,000. The National Headquarters also added 2 bales of used clothes to be given to the assembly.

Apostle (Rtd) A.A. Mensah passed on to eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord on 9th October, 2013. His remains have been laid to rest at the Osu Cemetery after a befitting funeral service was held on his honour on Saturday, 30th November, 2013 at the Rev. Lartey Adotey Memorial Temple, Adabraka Assembly in Accra.
