An annual meeting aimed at mobilizing all stakeholders together to deliberate on issues affecting the administration and spiritual development of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, has been held at the Leadership Training and Resource Center of the Church at Frafraha, near Accra on 22nd and 23rd March, 2010.
The National Consultative meeting which precedes the National Council meetings annually coincided with this year’s 75th anniversary celebration of the Church, which was launched in Accra last September.
The President of the Church, Apostle John Annan Adotey, who opened the meeting and also gave the state-of-the-Church address, hinted on some of the issues that bothered on evangelism, Church growth, finances and the on-going 75th anniversary celebration of the Church.
He hammered on the need for excellent performance by all workers in the various disciplines that would contribute to the enhancement of the corporate image of the Church, and advised those whose performance fell below standard in the past year to make room for improvement this year as the Church showcases its diverse achievements during the course of celebration of its 75 years of existence in Ghana.
The President called for the practice of accurate record-keeping, aggressive evangelism, fervent prayer for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and support for developmental projects in the Church.
Apostle Adotey, who doubles as the Head of the Ghana Pentecostal Council, used the occasion to express the National Council’s appreciation to the Church workers for their various contributions toward the achievement of some level of spiritual and physical growth, and also asked them to continue to offer good suggestions for further improvement of the Church.
The two days meeting brought to the fore, a lot of innovative suggestions for the advancement of the Church, which are being considered. It was attended by about 250 delegates drawn from the Church’s various departments and committees across the country. The U.S.A missionary field Superintendent of the Church, Apostle Ben Lomotey was in attendance.
