The National Council, the highest authority and decision-making body of the Apostolic Church, Ghana, has held its 75th round-table to streamline activities for the acceleration of spiritual, mental, social and infrastructural development that form part of the basis of it’s Vision 2010.
The meeting which was held under the theme, “Doing the works of God” (John 9:4), was attended by all Apostles of the Church including some retirees.
The annual meeting which lasted for three days deliberated on basically important issues that were considered to promote growth; including the on-going 75th anniversary celebration, spiritual development, administrative matters, finance, divine calls and ministerial promotions and transfers.
The Church was admonished by prophecy, according to a national circular issued after the meeting, to unite in support of the administration as it strategizes toward the change that will advance the Church.
The Saints were also reminded in the circular to rekindle the spirit of giving, commitment and self sacrifice, and also, to focus on intensive prayers to make way for great revival in the Church which should affect the whole spiritual terrain of Ghana, as it happened in the past as far as the Apostolic Church is concerned.
The Saints were also urged to do away with procrastination and rather organise to complete all Church projects that have been started by all Presbyteries.
According to the circular, five Calls to Apostleship were confirmed by the National Council, four assistant Pastors have been called into the Pastorate, eight Elders have been called into full-time ministry as Assistant Pastors, 21 Pastors are due for ordination and 14 Pastors have been transferred to new locations - they include four Area Heads.
