The Women’s Movement of The Apostolic Church-Ghana, Cape Coast District, officially launched a transformative Women Empowerment Programme on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the Esikafoambatem Central Assembly Temple during the climax of the District’s Women’s Week Celebration.
This impactful initiative, inspired by the story of Esther in Esther 4:14, aims to empower women in the church with both spiritual encouragement and practical business support. With the understanding that many women are called “for such a time as this,” to raise women who will influence their homes, churches, and communities through economic independence and kingdom values.
The initiative began with the selection of twelve women, two from each of the district’s six local assemblies, who were awarded financial support and strategic business counsel to strengthen their enterprises. The effort is spearheaded by the District Women’s Movement, under the leadership of Deaconess Hannah Tetteh, whose passion for women’s transformation birthed this vision.
“This initiative is not a gift — it’s a seed,” said Deaconess Tetteh. “It is our prayer that these twelve women will flourish and become sources of support and inspiration to others in the church and beyond.”
The event was graced by notable personalities, including Apostle D.S.K. Osafo (Cape Coast Area Superintendent), Pastor Michael Ato Essel, SM (District Pastor), and Mr. Frank Kwarteng Ofori Dadzie (Regional Director, MASLOC), who all shared insights on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and the importance of long-term planning. Their message reinforced the vital link between biblical stewardship and business excellence.
The Cape Coast District Women Empowerment Programme is a clear step toward building stronger women, stronger families, and a stronger church. With continued prayer, guidance, and support, these twelve women are poised to become catalysts of change in their communities.
