Pastor Engr. Prof. Ernest Teye has been selected by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to serve as Chief Scientific Investigator for a Coordinated Research Project (CRP) titled Rapid Screening for Safe Food. The project seeks to strengthen global food safety systems through the application of rapid, field-deployable screening technologies.
Currently serving as the District Pastor of TAC-GH Akotokyir District (Royal Basilica) in the Cape Area, Pastor Engr. Prof. Teye is deeply passionate about food security and its integrity. His leadership will play a critical role in testing field-deployable methods under real-world conditions particularly within developing countries, to evaluate their robustness, reliability, simplicity, and usability, including by non-scientific operators.
Under his oversight as Chief Scientific Investigator, the project will also develop advanced chemometric approaches for data analysis and interpretation, supported by strict quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure data validity and reliability. Ultimately, the initiative aims to develop, adapt, test, and validate transferable, reliable, rapid, cost-effective, and field-deployable analytical techniques to support food control programmes in low- and middle-income countries.
The Management and entire fellowship of The Apostolic Church-Ghana extend warm congratulations to Pastor Engr. Prof. Ernest Teye on this remarkable achievement. We celebrate his continuous service to the Body of Christ and the nation with integrity and creativity, and we pray for God’s grace and sustained success as he undertakes this impactful global assignment.
