Missions and evangelism remain the core mandate of the Church as we obey the Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20 and Acts 1:8, reaching communities with the saving gospel of Christ. Today’s highlight focuses on a mission outreach at Asamankese in the Eastern Region.
In a collective effort to reach the lost, the Youth for Jesus (Y4J) mission team and the Internal Missions Directorate collaborated with the Asamankese Area of the Church to organize a comprehensive two-day soul-winning mission, which included evangelism training and community outreach.
During this mission, over 800 community members were engaged with the gospel. By the grace of God, 53 souls were won, with 45 individuals rededicating their lives to Christ. Guided by the theme, “Declare His Glory Among the Nations” (Psalm 96:3), the outreach sought to proclaim the message of Christ and make His glory known within the community. Various evangelistic activities were undertaken, including market evangelism, door-to-door evangelism, film evangelism, dawn broadcast, and gospel tract distribution. Through these efforts, many people had the opportunity to hear the good news and encounter Christ wherever they were.
The outreach also yielded encouraging testimonies with one man surrendering his life to Christ after watching the Jesus Film, demonstrating the powerful impact of the message presented. Church members further testified that their faith was strengthened through the film and the outreach activities.
This mission highlight serves as a reminder that the Church’s mission to “belt the globe with the gospel” remains vital and urgent, especially in these terrible times. The harvest is plentiful, and it takes all of us to bring in the harvest. Do not be left out, get involved and make a disciple today.
If we truly believe we have been appointed and called to fulfil this mandate, then this is the time. Let us rise together in prayer and with a determined heart to proclaim Christ and reach the lost.
God bless you for continually being part of the mission.
