“For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine and accurate instruction [that challenges them with God’s truth]; but wanting to have their ears tickled [with something pleasing], they will accumulate for themselves [many] teachers [one after another, chosen] to satisfy their own desires and to support the errors they hold.” — 2 Timothy 4:3 (AMP)
In a world where many are easily swept away by strange doctrines and the restless pursuit of life’s pleasures, the Apostle Paul, inspired by the Spirit of God, issued a solemn warning to his beloved son Timothy. He urged him to remain faithful to true doctrine, a doctrine that not only saves the preacher but also delivers those who hear it.
The pulpit should be aflame with the desire to lead souls to Christ. It is meant to reflect God’s intent and to proclaim sound doctrine. Yet, today, many use it for self-promotion, transactions, and material gain. For such people, the Apostle of grace, Paul declared, “their god is their belly, and their end is destruction” (Philippians 3:19). Our Lord Jesus Himself forewarned us that in the last days, many false teachers would arise, performing signs and wonders. His caution remains: believe them not.
As believers, our ultimate goal must be to always secure our eternal residence in God and not to have our faith dwindled or be carried away by any kind of doctrine. It is within this context that “Behind The Pulpit: Pray For Salvation, Pray For Escape” was premiered by One Fold Film Ministry (OFFM). The film powerfully unveils the dangers of false doctrines and depicts the ongoing spiritual battle between light and darkness in a world that is increasingly confused and distracted.

Even as we draw closer to the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us collectively and individually invalidate the false doctrines behind the pulpit that sound nearly “sweet” in our ears. Be the gatekeeper in your very Area, District, Local, even in the family and to the work places. The believer in church is the same believer at the work place, beware! Continue to make public show of the mark of Christ on you. Like the instruction to Timothy, “…guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge.” 1 Timothy 6:20 (NIV)
