As part of efforts to promote national food security, the Feed Ghana Ambassador, Mr. John Donkor, on Wednesday, 10th September 2025, visited the General Headquarters of The Apostolic Church-Ghana to introduce the programme and engage the Church on areas of collaboration.
Mr. Donkor, who is a member of the Hallelujah Assembly, McCarthy District, was accompanied by Mr. Frank Brobbey, the Programme’s Public Relations Officer and an agronomist, together with Mr. Bismark Donkor.
Launched in April 2025 by the Government of Ghana, the Feed Ghana Programme seeks to transform the agricultural sector, increase local food production, and reduce reliance on imports. It promotes community farming, youth empowerment, and institutional participation in food cultivation to ensure national food security.
The meeting, chaired by Pastor Ebenezer Gyamera, PhD, Director of Administration, and Pastor William Affum Ani-Adjie, Manager in charge of Operations for Social Service, focused on how the Church can support this vision by utilizing its resources and networks to promote food production and empower communities.
The visit marked the beginning of a promising collaboration between the Church and the national programme.
