The Siloam Mission Hospital, Kasoa, commemorated its 5th Anniversary with a Free Health Screening organized in collaboration with the Ascension Trust, UK, as part of the ongoing Missions 2025 of the The Apostolic Church-Ghana and the Ascension Trust, UK
The exercise, held at the hospital premises on Tuesday, 14th October 2025, brought together hundreds of residents from Kasoa and its surrounding communities seeking medical care and health advice. 310 people benefited from the screening, with 35 individuals identified for further medical investigation and management.
Two critical cases were referred for higher levels of care, ensuring timely intervention. The outreach also provided eye screening for 30 people, with several receiving free corrective lenses. Additionally, about 80 women were screened for breast cancer, while 100 participants received free National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) registration, expanding access to essential health services.
The initiative was not just a medical exercise, but a manifestation of Christ’s compassion in action, reaffirming the Church’s commitment to holistic missions — caring for both body and soul.
Reflecting on the milestone, the hospital’s management expressed gratitude to Almighty God for His faithfulness.
“The program was successful, and I am hopeful that it has truly touched lives and met the health needs of our people. We thank the Mighty God for bringing us this far. Greater things are yet to unfold as plans are underway for further development and service expansion,” – Hospital Management
Special appreciation was extended to the leadership of The Apostolic Church-Ghana, past board members, ASEM MHD, stakeholders, and DCOP Rtd. Lady Dr. Helen Tettey (Practitioner-in-Charge), the staff of Siloam Mission Hospital, and all who contributed to the success of the event.
As the hospital looks to the future, the team remains steadfast in its vision to bring quality healthcare and the love of Christ to every home and heart.
