Apostle Dr. Aaron Nartey Ami-Narh, President of The Apostolic Church-Ghana, has urged retired ministers that God will always remember their labour in serving Him.

He noted that in the past they were the future of the Church, emphasizing that the work of God in His vineyard is much like a baton race, where at every stage a baton is passed on to another runner to continue the race.

Apostle Ami-Narh made this declaration during the opening of the second edition of the Retired Ascension Ministers’ Conference held at Fafraha. The interactive conference brought together retired ministers from various places to share in fellowship, remembrance, and to assess their physical well-being, as well as discuss their welfare as retired ministers.

Speaking at the opening session, he stated, “Even though you are retired, you are not done with your work in the Lord’s vineyard; you have only passed the baton to the younger generation to continue. If they fail, then we have all failed. Therefore, let us continue to cheer them on by sharing the experiences we have gained with them, so they can continue the race, because the Church needs your prayers and support to thrive.”

He finally urged them to continually intercede for the Church and the current active ministers, even as the Church prepares to choose new leadership in the coming year.
