The President of The Apostolic Church-Ghana, Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh, together with the Council of Apostles and Prophets, has officially christened the main conference hall at the TAC Tower in honour of the late Apostle Daniel Kwasi Boateng.
The historic ceremony took place on Friday, 22nd May 2026, as the Church paid tribute to the remarkable legacy, conviction, and unwavering stand of the late Apostle D.K. Boateng during one of the most defining moments in the history of The Apostolic Church.
The christening was done in recognition of Apostle D.K. Boateng’s courageous decision to decline appending his signature to what he believed was an unclear decision taken by the Gold Coast pastors of the then Apostolic Church in favour of Pastor James McKeown in May 1950. His conviction and commitment to uphold what he believed to be the truth and order of The Apostolic Church became one of the major events leading to the historic split that later rocked the Church in May 1953 following the visit of the Latter Rain Movement, whose teachings were considered contrary to the doctrines and practices of The Apostolic Church, Bradford.
Despite intense pressure, intimidation, and opposition, the late Apostle D.K. Boateng remained resolute in his convictions and steadfast in defending the truth as he understood it. His courage, sacrifice, and commitment to the Church have continued to inspire generations within The Apostolic Church-Ghana.
In response to the honour done to his late father, the General Secretary of the Church, Apostle Alex Boateng, who is also the last born of Apostle D.K. Boateng, emotionally recounted some of the painful experiences endured by the family during those difficult times.
“Our father was stoned, his properties were thrown out, among many other things,” he stated.
He expressed deep appreciation to the President of the Church for not only relying on hearsay, but for personally retrieving archival materials from Bradford to establish the true account of the events surrounding that period in the Church’s history. He further acknowledged Apostle E. N. Abrebrese for his testimony during the exhortation and also paid tribute to the late Elder Samuel Kofi Ampiah of blessed memory, who long desired to witness such a moment of recognition and honour for Apostle D.K. Boateng.
Apostle Alex Boateng further revealed that the family is ready to establish a foundation in memory of their late father, Apostle D.K. Boateng. According to him, the foundation will primarily focus on evangelism and mission activities. It will also serve as a centre for ministers’ training and provide a private place of retreat, counselling, and support for ministers who experience burnout and emotional exhaustion in ministry.
He concluded by expressing gratitude to the Council of Apostles and Prophets and the leadership of the Church for the honour bestowed on the memory of his late father.
The christening of the TAC Tower Conference Hall after Apostle D.K. Boateng stands not only as a recognition of a man, but as a celebration of conviction, sacrifice, and faithfulness to truth. It serves as a reminder to the present and future generations of believers that standing for truth may come with sacrifice, but its impact can echo through generations. Through this honour, The Apostolic Church-Ghana has once again demonstrated its commitment to preserving the history, values, and enduring legacy of those who helped shape the Church through courage and unwavering faith.
