An atmosphere of great excitement and a willing spirit to serve characterized the ordination service on Saturday, 13th June 2026, at the TAC Conference Centre, during which the Council of Apostles and Prophets, led by Aps. Dr. A. Ami-Narh, President of The Apostolic Church ordained 73 Ascension Ministers into the offices of Apostles, Prophets, and Pastors.

The ordination journey began with an orientation programme and impartation service, which prepared the ordinands for the ministry ahead. Rooted in the doctrines and practices of the Church and inspired by Ephesians 4:11–15, the programme emphasized the recognition of spiritual gifts and the consecration of the ministers under God’s guidance.

Among the 73 newly ordained Ascension Ministers were 9 Apostles, 4 Prophets, and 60 Pastors. Four (4) of the ordained ministers were campus ministers who had been set apart for ministry on various University campuses across the country.

Aps. Dr. Aaron Nartey Ami-Narh, drawing lessons from Romans 1:1, urged them to regard their callings as functions of service rather than titles of honour. He stressed that occupying an office in the Church, particularly that of an Apostle, Prophet or a Pastor is a privilege and responsibility rather than a right. He stressed The uncomfortable fact that all Ascension Ministers are ‘labourers’ in the masters’ vineyard and must operate in that capacity with dignity. He buttressed this point with Matthew 9:36 – 38, saying, ministers should not serve as bosses, but as labourers, seeking to please the Master. Aps. Ami-Narh emphasized, that, ‘Bible Schools do not make ministers, you become a better minister when you have the call’.

He further cautioned against the tendency of some ministers to place undue emphasis on titles, stating that the purpose of ministry is to glorify God and not oneself. He reminded the congregation that every gift and calling received from God should be used to bring glory to His name.

The service attracted a large gathering of members, family relations, and distinguished guests from within and outside the country. Among those present were Pastor Kamunda Flora from Burundi, Engr. Dr. George Eduful, CEO of Power Telco and Engr. Dr. Mrs. Miriam Eduful, President of Ghana Institute of Safety and Environment Professionals, among other dignitaries. The auditorium, with a seating capacity of about 4,000, was filled to capacity as worshippers and well-wishers gathered to witness the historic occasion.

The ordination service marked a significant milestone in the lives of the newly ordained ministers and in the growth of the Church. As they embark on their respective ministries, the Church remains confident that, through the grace of God and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, they will faithfully fulfil their callings and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of God’s Kingdom.
